Burning Through $100 Million in a Week

The nation is now at Preparedness Level 5 - the highest rating given when fire conditions are severe and resources are stretched ultra thin.  The US Forest Service is spending $100 million per week to fight fires, calling in our firefighting friends from around the globe and the military, and hitting the 7 million acres burned mark way too early.
