Governors Recognize Collaborative Efforts for Positive Outcome for Sage-Grouse

Western Governors' Association has long focused on the benefits of collaboration in their policy efforts.  Following the April 21st announcement of US Fish and Wildlife's decision not to list the greater sage-grouse under the Endangered Species Act in California and Nevada, WGA Executive Director Jim Ogsbury highlights the great collaborative work of the states, private landowners and conservation groups to preserve habitat and create favorable conditions for the greater sage-grouse.

"Today’s announcement highlights the critical partnerships that must exist for our conservation strategies to be effective."
