CFLRP at Five Years - On Track
The Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration (CFLR) Program was created as a result of the 2009 Omnibus Public Land Management Act to accelerate restoration on high priority landscapes, to promote forest health and resiliency, reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire, and support economic well-being and job security in local communities through integrated, science-based restoration efforts that involve collaboration. These collaborative groups are an integral part of Cohesive Strategy efforts across the nation - bringing together stakeholders to make recommendations about treatments on the landscape.
In 2015, CFLR celebrates its five year anniversary. This milestone is an important opportunity to assess progress toward program goals. The 5 Year Report to Congress is part of that effort. Read the report here.
